West Valley Flying Club is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing well-equipped, professionally maintained rental aircraft at reasonable cost. Excellent instruction for both new and experienced pilots and aviation-related activities are also offered to all members. The Club began in 1972 with two airplanes and has grown to more than 80 aircraft, including everything from basic trainers and tailwheels to high performance single-, multi-engine and glass panel aircraft. We are proud to be the world's largest non-profit flying club!

Unlike other "clubs," West Valley Flying Club is a truly non-profit organization; we exist not to make a profit, but to serve our membership. This -- plus the fact that we are a large, well established and professionally managed club -- allows us to offer you all the unique benefits on this page.

Competitive Pricing
We're committed to keeping prices as low as possible. Since we're non-profit, we can offer attractive maintenance rates and other benefits to our aircraft owners. As a result, our aircraft owners can pass their savings on to Club members in the form of lower rental rates.

Excellent Maintenance
We set uncompromising standards for aircraft maintenance. Unlike other clubs, West Valley Flying Club has a full-time maintenance department dedicated to maintaining West Valley aircraft. All of our aircraft are maintained to the Manufactures standards.

Tour Computerized Scheduling
Our airplanes and instructors are scheduled through our state-of-the-art custom designed computerized scheduling system. You can schedule aircraft and instructors 24-hours a day, 7 days a week through our World Wide Web gateway using any standard Web browser and your existing Internet connection. Additionally, you may schedule in person at the club or over the telephone during business hours.

Large, Well-Equipped Fleet
We have the largest fleet of rental aircraft in the U.S.. With more than 80 Aircraft to choose from, you get the benefit of more scheduling flexibility. You'll find everything from taildraggers, primary trainers, glass panel, technically advanced Cirrus, Cessna, and Diamond, multi-engine, war-bird, military and aerobatic training aircraft. All available to our members on an hourly rental basis.

All of our aircraft have built-in intercoms, and many of our aircraft are equipped with IFR GPS, WAAS capable GPS, glass panels, autopilot, WX, traffic, and TAWS included in the price.

3 Locations; Palo Alto, San Carlos, and Hayward
West Valley Flying Club has full-service flight operations at the Palo Alto, San Carlos Hayward, and South County airports. Your membership gives you full flying privileges at all facilities.

All four locations are staffed 7 days a week, and are equipped with wireless internet access, study materials, study areas, conference rooms, weather computers, flight planning areas, and a good cup of warm coffee. All a part of WVFC membership.

Simulators
West Valley offers a variety of simulators for instrument training and recurrency. We offer two Elite computer-based sims, three AST-300 multi-engine simulators, a frasca G1000 full planel FTD, and an ES 200 single engine sim.

Full Insurance Coverage
We have an excellent insurance policy that covers our member pilots and aircraft to limits far higher than required by the County and State. Club members, instructors, and FAA Designated Examiners have full hull coverage, $1 million in liability with a per-seat limitation of $100,000. All of our members are named insured on our aircraft policy.

Additionally, our policy contains a "no-subrogation" clause. This is quite unique for a rental orginization. This means that the insurance company cannot sue the renting member to recover damages beyond the stated deductible for any incident in which you may be involved in club aircraft.

A $3,500 deductible applies for no fault claims and a $5,000 deductible if the pilot is at fault.

West Valley also offers its members a deductible waiver benefit. For $125 a member gets 12 months of coverage. If the member is involved in an accident in a WVFC aircraft, their deductible is waived completely. Ask the front desk staff for more details.
