Why are you a Certified Flight Instructor?

I have always been passionate about aviation, and I found that teaching others is an incredibly rewarding experience.

How long have you been instructing?
Since 1999
Do you tend to favor PAO or SQL, and how might it affect a student's ability to schedule time?
No preference

How would you describe your availability in general?
I'm usually available Monday-Saturday on a part-time basis
What method of ground school do you prefer and how does it relate to your syllabus?
There are several options for ground school and I will accommodate whichever method you prefer. There are home-study courses, classroom courses, and 1 on 1 instruction, among others. Home study or classroom are usually the most cost-effective options.

What is your favorite aircraft to instruct in?
I am a big fan of the tailwheel aircraft. Very fun to fly!
What are your aircraft recommendations for a new student?
There are several great options for new students. The C-172SP is easy, reliable, and safe. If you want state of the art, opt for the 172SP with the G1000 package. Learning in a tailwheel is also a great way to go.
What percentage of your students pass their checkride on the first try?
I've had 2 students not pass on their first attempt out of roughly 60. Since 2001 100% of my students have passed on the first try.
Additional Comments:
I fly business jets for a living, so my availability is about half the month. Instructing is an incredibly rewarding experience, and I enjoy teaching as much as you will enjoy learning how to fly!
