Why are you a Certified Flight Instructor?
I hate to sound like a salesman (love, passion, freedom of flight, etc) but I do love it! You are getting into the most expensive, dangerous and rewarding activity you can get. I will teach you how to be confident, fly safely and efficiently. That's my job, that's what I know how to do.

How long have you been instructing?
9 years

Do you tend to favor PAO or SQL, and how might it affect a student's ability to schedule time?
Will teach at PAO or SQL.

How would you describe your availability in general?
We can fly from 5am till 10pm most of the days. I'm a commercial airline pilot, due to this, on rare occurrences I might have to cancel at the last minute.

What method of ground school do you prefer and how does it relate to your syllabus?
What ever works for you. Home study, video lessons or formal ground school at the club.

What is your favorite aircraft to instruct in?
C-152, PA28-161, C-172 for Private pilot and C-172SP or any glass panel for instrument rating. Just try to avoid old airplane/new instructor Go for new airplane/old instructor.

What are your aircraft recommendations for a new student?
Any forgiving, reliable basic trainer like C-152, PA28-161 or C-172.

What percentage of your students pass their checkride on the first try?
97.4 %

Additional Comments:
Let's meet and look at the aircraft options available for training (and get to know each other).

"Born in Moscow,Russia. All kind of schools there then military service then immigration to US then flight instructing then flying cargo, back to flight instructing then airline pilot (finally) and now flight instructing again (just can't stay away from it)."
