AC Instructs in: C172SP
Why are you a Certified Flight Instructor? Flight instructing has been one of the most enjoyable jobs that I have had in aviation. Teaching someone how to fly is extremely rewarding.
How long have you been instructing? I have been flying professionally since 1999 and have given flight instruction on and off throughout this time.
Do you tend to favor PAO or SQL, and how might it affect a student's ability to schedule time? PAO and SQL
How would you describe your availability in general? Anytime Monday-Sunday with an occasional weekend off.
What method of ground school do you prefer and how does it relate to your syllabus? There are multiple paths to aquiring the required knowledge to pass the FAA written tests. I recommend WVFC ground school along with one on one with your instructor.
What is your favorite aircraft to instruct in? C172SP is a great training aircraft.
What are your aircraft recommendations for a new student? C172SP
What percentage of your students pass their checkride on the first try? 100% so far
Additional Comments: I started flying in 1998 and have flight instructed, flew a King Air B200 for a small corporation, and was a captain on a Embraer 175 jet for a regional airline. Flight instructing has been the most challenging and fun job that I have had in aviation! |
