Why are you a Certified Flight Instructor?
Flight instruction is about creating a structure to maximize a student's efforts. I love the challenge!

How long have you been instructing?
5 years

Do you tend to favor PAO or SQL, and how might it affect a student's ability to schedule time?
SQL. I use pAO only when needed for aircraft availability, or only on request.

How would you describe your availability in general?
I am available 3-4 days per week. Most commonly Wednesday thru Saturday, though I have plenty of flexibility when students have specific requests.

What method of ground school do you prefer and how does it relate to your syllabus?
WVFC Ground School. No better way to learn than to do so locally! Honestly, though, when it comes to ground school, everyone is different. I'm here to help you find the right path for you.

What is your favorite aircraft to instruct in?
C172G1000, PA28

What are your aircraft recommendations for a new student?
C172G1000. It's a great platform, and has the greatest availability at WVFC. The G1000 offers unparalleled safety in the busy Bay Area environment. But try out a few, and see what you're most excited about.

What percentage of your students pass their check ride on the first try?
Almost all. I don't sign off students who are not ready to pass their check ride.

Additional Comments:
My experience base is broad, giving me a wide perspective on aviation. I incorporate real-world flying situations and decisions into your experience.

I believe in quality over quantity, and maintain a reasonable student volume, which allows you space to schedule and leaves me with the bandwidth to give you my all, every lesson. I have created and use an interactive student progress solution that allows you to understand where I see you, at all times, within your training continuum.
