David Scheinman

I have been flying small airplanes all my life. I passed my private pilot check-ride out of Palo Alto in 2002 and never looked back. I've flown small airplanes all over the US and parts of Mexico.

Outside of the cockpit I work as a mechanical engineer designing powered Human Exoskeletons. I've previously worked in the aerospace, automation, and consumer electronics industries. I am an alumni of MIT and UC Davis.

How would you describe your availability in general?
I am available most weekends. During the week I am available early mornings and afternoons by appointment only.

What method of ground school do you prefer and how does it relate to your syllabus?
The FAA Airplane Flying Handbook and Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge are free, well written and thorough. My syllabus is integrated with these texts.

If you prefer a more interactive experience I suggest the software from MS Aviation.

What is your favorite aircraft to instruct in?
I love the Cessna 172SP. Nice interior, great avionics, peppy performance and all at a reasonable price.
