Why are you a Certified Flight Instructor?
I find the airplane to be a unique classroom that brings student and instructor together in pursuit of the student's dreams, and kindles lifelong friendships at the same time.

How long have you been instructing?
I have been teaching at West Valley since August 2006.

Do you tend to favor PAO, SQL, HWD or E16, and how might it affect a student's ability to schedule time?
I teach at all West Valley Flying Club locations. To maximize efficiency, I try to schedule lessons on the same day at a single airport. For those who started training at E16, I still provide instruction with Magnum Aviation, which took over West Valley operations in January 2009.

How would you describe your availability in general?
I'm available every day, weekdays and weekends, and can work with you to accommodate your personal schedule.

What method of ground school do you prefer and how does it relate to your syllabus?
Students who pursue flying while managing a full-time career generally find home study offers the greatest flexibility, but for those who prefer group study, West Valley's evening ground schools offer social and stimulating motivation in a classroom setting. Whichever form of study you choose, I'll ensure it keeps pace with your flying.

What are your aircraft recommendations for a new student?
Taller students find the Cessna 172 most comfortable. If you are of moderate height, the Piper Warrior/Archer or Cessna 172 fit equally well. Students will find the Piper slightly easier to land.
