01 Gazebo
June 29 2003. Members, friends and family came out to the San Carlos gazebo this morning for our Summer 2003 Landing Contest. Torea Rodriguez and Justin Ross flew Citabria 374DM, Keith Goldberg and Rick Bentley flew 172SP 227ME, Jim Schmidt and Mohamed Ahmed fired up Jim's experimental Yak, and Ken Mason took his son up in Ken and Lea's classic Hershey bar wing Cherokee. Due to technical difficulties Jason Holloway, Ali Ashayer and Patti Andrews did not make it into the air.
02 Yak
After a lengthy preflight and a crash course in Russian instrumentation Mohamed served as back seat ballast and emergency system operator for Jim Schmidt in the Yak.
03 Scorecards
Everyone who wasn't flying kept busy trying to figure out how to work the scorecards.
04 Judges
The Jeremies… our most enthusiastic judges.
