If you missed the WVFC June 24th barbecue, you missed out on some fun! We had the biggest burgers anyone had ever seen complete w/all the fixings, cold drinks, potato salad and pickles. Good thing about the pickles too, for as you can see from the picture we had at least two true pickle aficionados.
A good time hangar flying was had by all! Several CFIs were present including Terry Miller, Martin Michaud, Ken Gottsfredson, Carmen D’Agostino, Dave Fry, John Pyle & Gordon Reade– CFIs and food go together like steak and eggs, as everyone knows. Two folks from the tower joined the crowd, Tonya Patterson and Michael Denison. We were joined by aircraft owners: Martin Michaud, Joel Harris and Mark Phillips. Two Board members attended, Scott Stauter, CFI rep., and Bill Caswell.
There were four staff members: Susan Walters (accompanied by hubby Jay), Joel Harris (former staff & current owner), Sherry Kuykendall holding down the fort while the rest of us basked in the sun!) and Ann Elsbach. Members at large included Steve Brewer and wife Lynette, Joe Kraus, Marco Colella, Rick Bovan, Steve Kuo, Craig Prouse and guest, and Marvin Raab. Marvin is on the Social Events Committee and he is the photographer who took the wonderful shots of the barbecue. Apologies to anyone we missed!
