Why are you a Certified Flight Instructor?
For me, becoming a pilot was an amazing endeavor. Even now, years after my very first intro flight (which was at West Valley Flying Club), I still find every flight I take to be an unbelievable experience. I became a Flight Instructor because I have found introducing people to aviation to be one of the most rewarding things that I do.

Do you tend to favor PAO or SQL, and how might it affect a student's ability to schedule time?
I live and work between PAO and SQL, so both airports are very convenient for me.

How would you describe your availability in general?
Available all day on weekends and evenings on weekdays. Please call or e-mail before scheduling a weekday flight.

"I have a day-job with a technical consulting company in Menlo Park. I recently finished my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford, where I specialized in semiconductor device physics. It was while at Stanford that I first started taking flying lessons, and I have since progressed through all of my ratings at West Valley Flying Club.

I am also an active volunteer search and rescue pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. The Civil Air Patrol is a great organization and just one of the many aviation related ways in which you can volunteer your time and skills to contribute to the community."
